Troy Valberg, Mario Valero, And Victoria Viola Rock The IPA State Powerlifting Championships
Posted on Feb 9, 2011 at 10:44 AM
@Ben, Doh! I guess I could have googled that just the same, ha! ;) Looks like there is one not too far from me on March 2nd. Sweet! Now that I've been more into squatting, deadlifting, benching (the compound movements) I've been increasingly interested in powerlifting. I'm not a big guy (5'11"... read more »

OOPhoto - A Painful Transition To Object-Based Controllers
Posted on Feb 4, 2011 at 2:40 AM
@Sean - More code behind the scenes maybe, but not more code written by me the developer. Is that what you mean? For instance, I just ran "rake stats" on the app I've been building over the last couple months, there are a total of 776 lines of code. That is about half the size of a single... read more »

OOPhoto - A Painful Transition To Object-Based Controllers

I'm loving all of the recent comments on this entry. I've recently started building in Rails and I absolutely love it as a framework. I couldn't touch any Coldfusion framework with a ten foot pole because they all seemed so bloated and confusing. Basically, for all the reasons will-i-am mentioned. ... read more »

Project HUGE: The Last Workout Of 2010 Starts With Personal Best

Congrats man! That's seriously impressive. Looks like you could have ripped off a few of those. Within the last year I've ditched all of my isolation exercises in favor of compound movements. Now I'm strictly doing squats, deadlifts, bent over rows, bench press, lunges, dips, etc. I feel a lot stron... read more »

jQuery Selectors - The Firebug Plugin Inserts A Hidden DIV Element
Posted on Sep 29, 2010 at 9:13 PM
I was under the assumption that the Inspector did not show XHRs like Firebug does. Maybe it's in there, but I've never been able to find it in the inspector. The console in Firebug shows it clearly. That's really the only reason why I still occasionally use Firebug Lite in Chrome. Example: http://... read more »

Going to definitely buy this book (using your link, hope you get credit). I've been married 10 of my 30 years of being alive.
