Ben, I really think it's something on your end as I've not had those problems. I'd probably suggest resetting the iPhone to it's original state from when you bought it (firmware 2.0) and starting from scratch. It's possible that an update got hosed somehow. A little increase in size but the rationale was definitely well worth it. Dimensions is one of the most widely used plugins and it just made sense to finish including the whole thing. @Christian: I would actually recommend building it out in a traditional fashion using little to no JS and then use Hijax/Progressive Enhancement to override some of the functionality with nice effects such as modal divs and Ajax.
