  @CJ, it sounds like you have a 3rd gen shuffle, unfortunately, ishuffle doesn't work with the latest gen shuffle. Read the whole thread for software that works without itunes on 3rd gens, like floola or media monkey.... read more »

  @Carla, try mediamonkey, winamp, or floola they work, not as elegant as ishuffle, but its just your preference for which you like best. there's tips in the posts above. and there's always itunes, love it or hate it... read more »

  @Garry, @Carla, sounds like you might have 3rd gen shuffles. Read through the rest of the thread to see other solutions, like media monkey. I've had a little success with floola, but it can make for wonky playlists and filenames if you're not careful. http://www.floola.com/home/... read more »
