Programming JavaScript Applications By Eric Elliott - Revisited

@Eric or anyone who may have some insight into this. Speaking of JavaScript crashes and errors, I am getting this error when running an app I'm working on: Unhandled exception at line 129, column 222 in http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4/jquery.min.js 0x80004002 - JavaScript runtim... read more »

Programming JavaScript Applications By Eric Elliott - Revisited

@Eric Elliott, Thanks for responding/answering questions. I can appreciate your mentioning of how all code in all languages have the "ability" to crash, or tendency to do so. I've found this happening quite often within the .net framework w/ C#.net, ASP.NET, and VB.NET. It's a pretty f... read more »

Great review. "I'm not a classically trained programmer. " This sentence really resonated with me. My programming experience can probably best be described as a big, huge melting pot. When I first started out, I studied some programming courses in college and was exposed to object-orie... read more »

This may just be a matter of taste, but I kind of liked the 1st improvement better, especially at just first impression/first glance. The 2nd one seemed to be just a little "too" washed out. Although that was just my first impression/first glance. When I looked back at both of them more... read more »

The User Experience (UX) Of Tipping As Personal Expression

That sounds like a super cool tip jar! I like that idea! Speaking of bakeries, we have an awesome one called "Amelie's", which serves mostly French treats including tarts, tortes, macaroons, and eclairs. I like all desserts, but I do have a special place in my heart for French desserts ... read more »

Consuming The Crypto Hash Algorithms As A Stream In Node.js

@Ben, Thanks! It is extremely interesting and I enjoy the challenges of working in a diverse division like that. I love programming and still do plenty of just pure programming, but it's nice having a variety of different things I do at work also. I enjoy it both ways. :-)... read more »

I just wish I had more brilliant ideas for you to bounce off of. . .haha. My attempt at a joke. But sincerely and seriously, I have also enjoyed immensely the conversations we've had since I discovered this blog and started responding and posting comments here. Even when we have amicably agreed t... read more »

Consuming The Crypto Hash Algorithms As A Stream In Node.js

I almost didn't even click on this one. As a programmer and do-everything IT person, I am sometime tasked with reverse engineering viruses that come across our network. As such, one of them is called a "crypto" (I'm not even sure if it is spelled the same, but maybe. I'm not 100% on the... read more »

I don't see how you have the time to do all that you do, but thumbs up to you! I was thinking the other day about the contributions you have made to the cf and programming in general community and the magnitude of working and being able to do these experiments and write a blog about it, sharing you... read more »
