Hal Helms - Real World Object Oriented Development, Sarasota - On My Way

Right now, I'm sitting in the nice new JetBlue terminal here at John F. Kennedy airport in NY. In about 20 minutes, I'll be boarding my flight down to Sarasota, Florida where I'm going to be helping run the latest Hal Helms training event - Real World OO (Object Oriented) Development. I don't have much time to write, but I'm quite excited to be heading down to this event; and, not just because it's about 30 degrees warmer in Sarasota, FL, althought that certainly doesn't hurt - I'm excited because I've been to this class before and I know just how awesome it is.

Over the next week, I'll be posting daily updates and pictures from the event; so feel free to stop by, check it out, and ask me anything you want to about the class.

Just got back from Hal's office and am settling into the Homewood Suites. It's a really nice hotel and Hal tells me that the conference area is really nice (where the class will be held).

I also hear there is going to be unlimited canned drinks! I just hope they know what seltzer / club soda is - Florida seems to be unaware that people up north drink bubbly water that is NOT Perrier :)

Oh no, you might have to slum it and drink perrier?!?! :-)

If you come back from Florida with a tan i am not going to be happy. please bring back some good weather.

@Hatem,

Our brains are gonna be so stuffed full of information, I am not sure how much coding will actually be done outside of class. But feel free to drop by some night.

@Ben, maybe coding was not the right word, I wanted to sit down with 2 brainiacs and hope that some of that programming knowledge will rub off on me, lol!

I believe in love. I believe in compassion. I believe in human rights. I believe that we can afford to give more of these gifts to the world around us because it costs us nothing to be decent and kind and understanding. And, I want you to know that when you land on this site, you are accepted for who you are, no matter how you identify, what truths you live, or whatever kind of goofy shit makes you feel alive! Rock on with your bad self!
