Simon Free Leads The Way

I just wanted to take a moment to give a big congratulations to my friend and fellow ColdFusion developer, Simon Free. He has taken a huge initiative at his company, trying to get all of his developers ColdFusion 8 certified. After months of preparing presentations and hosting after-work study sessions, Simon Free has gotten over 90% of his developers certified! More than just a ColdFusion, FLEX, and AIR developer, Simon is someone who seeks to improve the lives of those around him; whether it is through his conference sessions, his charity work, his mentoring efforts, his outgoing personality, or his dedication as a friend, Simon never ceases to amaze me.

I'd like to second Ben's note and add that Si spent countless hours to help our team (I was one of the beneficiaries of his help) become certified. He went above and beyond anything any of us could have expected, including staying until 10pm to help us prepare. His self-less help cannot be quantified; not just in regards to the certification test, but his passion to help people.

Thanks guys! Praise is always appreciated! It was a fun experience. I actually got to learn a lot while I was researching the different things to teach.

In 2 weeks I am hoping that we will have 100% if our employees certified!

Now i just need to move on to my next goal. Anyone have any ideas?

I believe in love. I believe in compassion. I believe in human rights. I believe that we can afford to give more of these gifts to the world around us because it costs us nothing to be decent and kind and understanding. And, I want you to know that when you land on this site, you are accepted for who you are, no matter how you identify, what truths you live, or whatever kind of goofy shit makes you feel alive! Rock on with your bad self!
