Replaced My Own iPod Battery With NuPower Battery
I have a 3rd generation iPod which is a few years old now. It has been great. I use it to listen to music going to and from work and as a pretty sweet external hard drive. Recently, my battery power has been slipping away quite fast and last week it seemed to be able to hold a charge for no longer than 30 minutes. I think it's the age of the battery combined with the freezing cold outside.
To fix this, instead of buying a new iPod, I bought a new 3G iPod NuPower battery from Newer Technology. When it arrived on Monday, I sat down, watched the instructional video, and installed the new battery myself.
The installation went well. Getting the iPod open was much more difficult that it seemed from the video. I really had to pry that thing open. Once I did get it open, though, putting in the new battery was a sinch. So far, everything seems to be working quite nicely. I never use my iPod for more than an hour so I don't know how long the power will last, but it has not died prematurely yet. The case is a little wonky on one side where I was prying it open, but not very noticeable. Still 100% functioning.

Hey there. Glad it all worked up wit new power. i had great luck with my ipod battery from with ipod juice - you should check 'em out at www.ipodjuice.com if you get a chance. They have a great tool that opens up the iPod in snap and won't buldge out the side like that.
I thnk they even have a video of some guy at NBC using their tool to replace the battery in a 3rd gen ipod like yours...

Nice site. I see they have a 3G battery that is supposed to last 83% longer than the original. That is hot. The one I got is more like the 850mAh which is only like 41% longer than the original. If you could go ahead and tell me about this site two weeks ago, that would be great ;)

I tested this camera for a client. I didn't have the light running for more than 15 minutes. The battery lasted approximately 6 hours before recharging. The LCD, however, had a few dead pixels - never saw this before. Tried returning for exchange and had to put up quite a fight. Anyone else seen this? http://www.batteryfast.com

case is quite interesting ...i don't know more about it but as per my experiences with this electronics stuff you have to refer the cutratebatteries (one of online source), probably you have get some help from that...!
