Getting Ready For Scotch On The Rocks (SOTR) 2010
This week, I have been getting everything ready for my Scotch On The Rocks (SOTR) 2010 tour. As you might have seen on Claude Englebert's blog, in addition to the SOTR conference, Ray Camden, Terry Ryan, Alison Huselid, and myself will be going to a few different countries, giving presentations at the local CFUGs. I haven't been to Europe in about 25 years - in fact, I haven't used my passport in about 25 years - so this is a really big trip for me. I'm also super excited to meet all of the ColdFusion developers that I have, up until now, only known digitally... I'll be taking LOTS of pictures with people :)

For Scotch On The Rocks, I've prepared two presentations - one on the ColdFusion Framework and one on API development as inspired by Twitter.
Mastering the ColdFusion Application Framework
When most people hear the term, "Framework," they think about products like ColdBox, Model-Glue, Mach-ii, and FW/1. What most people generally don't think about is the robust and powerful framework that comes already packaged with ColdFusion. The Application.cfc component is an event-driven front-controller that affords the programmer extremely granular control over all aspects of the application lifecycle, from the macro events down to per-user-request application and session overrides. Come to this presentation to learn about what a ColdFusion application really is and how you can leverage the ColdFusion application framework to build more elegant software right out of the box.
Applying Twitter's API "Best Practices" In A ColdFusion Application
Twitter has become one of the most widely used APIs in the world. And as with anything that has become hugely successful, Twitter provides us developers with a wealth of educational material from which to learn. In this presentation, we will examine the Twitter API architecture and do our best to implement Twitter best practices in a sample ColdFusion application. This exploration will cover HTTP authentication, request validation, multi-format responses, and meaningful status code usage.

As long as I can get something sugar free and caffeinated. I can always fall back on Diet Coke, if necessary.
I worked out my track list a while back, your first one I'm attending.
As for drinks relentless is the best but get one of the juice ones, I find the standard brown one to sweet, the red?? can is the best then the green, 500ml can's usually make ya eyes twitch an hour or so after drinking them.
google image search for "relentless drinks" will have photo's of the cans so ya can spot them easier in any shop.
