Pete Freitag At The New York ColdFusion User Group
Last night, Pete Freitag came all the way down to the New York ColdFusion User Group (www.nycfug.com) to give us a presentation on Image manipulation in ColdFusion 8. The presentation went quite nicely, and I will see if we can get some of the slides and code up on the NYCFUG site; but, almost more impressive was the fact that his wife, Christine, made the four and half hour journey with him! I gotta say, in the 4 years or so that I've been coming to the New York ColdFusion user group, I don't think any speaker has been lucky enough to have his wife come along (with the exception of Michael Dinowitz whose wife Judith was managing the group). Pretty good Pete, pretty pretty pretty good (that's my Larry David impression, FYI).
In other news, I am extremely excited that we are keeping our attendance up. Thank you very much to those of you who have been showing up on a regular basis. It really means a lot to me and to the New York ColdFusion community that you come and share your ideas and take an interest in learning and helping our community to move forward. And thank you to all the new comers and those of you who might show up next time (you sooo know you want to).

Nice Ben! Glad the meeting went real well! Was really looking forward to meeting Pete but I'm sure he'll be back again. Who will be presenting next month?
@Javier,
Thank man. I hope your Arc event went well (did you win?). We are in the middle of securing the date for next month; when I have it down, I will send out the mailing list.
Nice man I look forward to the next meeting! I'll keep an eye out for the email. Make sure you get the dates right this time. ;) They were all over the place in the last email and each one was considerably different!
We should have won! We were so close! Only lost by a few points. We clearly dominated and everyone expected us to win especially with the desert we presented. Our main dish was spectacular. The judges loved our appetizer dish and desert. Next time we'll wrap up the competition!
